Black History Month Provides Opportunities for Learning About Black Canadians and Anti-Racism

February is Black History Month in Canada and this year’s theme is “February and Forever: Celebrating Black History Today and Every Day.” Black History Month is about honouring and celebrating the achievements and contributions that Black people have made and continue to make within Canadian history, culture, and society.

BC Health Regulators encourages regulated health professionals in BC to continue learning about this history and anti-racism strategies to ensure Black Canadians receive equitable access to high quality health care.

For more information about the history of Black Canadians and a list of anti-racism resources, please read this story on the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia’s website.
